Oze National Park, Oe Marshland (in Hinoemata)
Oze National Park is located across the four prefectures: Fukushima, Gunma, Niigata and Tochigi. There are several marshlands in the park. Many alpine plants, such as Asian skunk cabbages and daylilies can be observed. Astonishing beauty of the nature brings us a sense of humility.
Yamodo Ryori
Because Hinoemata is in a mountain region, it is not suitable for farming geologically. Therefore, people in the region created dishes with ingredients such as wild vegetables, mushrooms and river fishes. Yamodo Ryori used to be prepared by a wife for a husband who worked in a mountain every day.

Hinoemata Onsen (in Hinoemata)
Hinoemata is famous for having trailheads of the Oze National Park. Also, it is know for Heike no ochiudo legend that is about a fugitive family. Unspoiled nature of Hinoemata gives people hot springs and they can enjoy at three public bathhouses.

Tachi-Soba Cooking Workshop
Cooking and cutting process of Soba in Hinoemata is unique. You can experience the cooking process by participating in this workshop. Participants enjoy cooked soba together at the end of a workshop. Reservation is required 7 days prior to a workshop. At least 3 participants are necessary to hold a workshop.

Woodworks in Hinoemata
Eco-friendly crafts made of trees.
Mountain forests occupy about 80 ~90% of Okuaizu. As a result, forestry and a wood processing industry are active in this region. Using resources from the forests, craftsmen create household utensils. The woodworks are not only durable but also beautiful.

Roku Jizo (In Ninoemata)
Six statues of Jizo Bosatsu have been worshipped and loved by local people. The statues are dressed with pretty clothes made by people. People visit Jizo and pray about their children.
